A planetary reducer is a power transmission mechanism centered on involute planetary gear transmission technology. It achieves speed reduction through the rotation of multiple sets of planetary gears orbiting a central sun gear, and is characterized by its light weight, compact size, and wide transmission ratio range (25–4000 r/min). Its mounting configurations include foot mounting, flange mounting, and torque arm mounting. Precision planetary reducers-a specific subtype of this category-are distinguished by their high precision and exceptional stability. Coaxial planetary reducers, which achieved the world's first mass production milestone within this field, simultaneously reduce size and weight while enhancing transmission efficiency; they are primarily utilized in high-end manufacturing sectors such as robotics, new energy equipment, and advanced machine tools.

 

Planetary reducers employ alloy steel gears that have undergone carburizing and quenching or nitriding treatments. Through a modular design approach, they are capable of meeting diverse configuration requirements and are widely applied across various fields, including medical devices, automotive manufacturing, petrochemicals, and aerospace.
